A geoboard is like a playground for shapes! It is a tool that helps you learn geometry in a fun way.
What you can do with GeoBoard.
Sap Maker: Stretch a rubber band around a pin to make squares, rectangles, triangles and all sorts of other shapes. You can even try letters or numbers!
Studying properties: By creating different shapes, you can learn about their properties, such as how many they have, sides are the lines sides that make up the shape, and how many they have, angles are angles where two sides meet.
You can use a geoboard to practice counting how many rubber bands it takes to make a shape's perimeter (the total length of the sides) or to estimate its area (how much space it takes up).
Geoboards are a great way to make learning geometry fun and handson. It's like playing with building blocks, but you're learning about shapes at the same time!
